西班牙托莱多景点?
Toledo is considered a World Heritage Site. The city lies just 70 km northeast of Madrid, on the banks of the Rio Tajo and has had an important role in Spain’s history since 54BC when it was settled by Caesar Augustus as Colonia Iulia Torquitanorum Tolosa. It became capital of the Visigoth kingdom after the Muslim invasion in AD712, then of the Moorish emirate from ca AD850-1030 and finally of Al Andalus (the Islamic state)from around AD932 until conquered by Alfonso VI of Castille in 1085. During this period Toledo was a major cultural centre which attracted scholars, artists and philosophers including Al Khwarizmi, Al Farabi,Ibn Hazm,Al Hudhar和Rumi who all lived or passed through here. After its conquest by Alfonso, there were mass deportations of Muslims, Jews and conversos to other parts of Spain; however many retained their religious beliefs underground and continued to follow Sharia law while observing Jewish customs and even speaking Arabic among themselves. This led to great tensions within society during the reign of Isabella, particularly over issues such as conversion or expulsion; eventually most were forced to convert under threat of death unless they left the country with a certificate proving that they had been baptised in Toledo cathedral! A large number also chose exile rather than renounce their faith, so much so that for some time Toledo was nicknamed “the Jerusalem of the West”.
The main sights are grouped together into five distinct areas: La Catedral y la Iglesia de San Juan, El Alcázar, Santa María la Blanca y el Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes, El Cristo de la Luz and Las Torres del Cerro. Although not mentioned specifically below, you should definitely see the Mudejar tower in Plaza de Zocodover and take a wander round Parque Womber and Museu Diocesà d’Art Sacre nearby where there are several fine examples of Mudéar architecture. There are plenty of good restaurants in town but be careful about what you order if you have particular food allergies! You might like to try one of two tapas specialities: pescaito frito(fried fish)or cordero al mollejo de jabalo(lamb in
